Tucked inside the walled courtyard at The Mills House, Iron Rose brings clean, elevated Southern Coastal fare to Charleston’s historic French Quarter. Locals and visitors alike enjoy contemporary Southern dishes, rotated seasonally with local ingredients, as well as well-crafted cocktails and sharable plates.
Iron Rose offers indoor and outdoor courtyard dining, in addition to seating at the intimate, elegantly designed bar. With a convivial, inviting atmosphere, Iron Rose is the perfect hidden gem for any occasion, from momentous celebrations to intimate moments, or just passing a pleasant hour over an extended meal or drinks.
The name Iron Rose pays homage to iconic Charleston symbols, including the Noisette rose and our city’s rich tradition of ironwork. The Noisette rose is an heirloom variety in the South, originally bred by a Charleston nurseryman in the early 1800s. The flower can often be found in private gardens throughout the city, many enclosed by the ornate, wrought iron gates produced by generations of skilled Charleston artisans and blacksmiths. Together, the two motifs create “Iron Rose,” a new, authentically Charleston dining experience at The Mills House.
